Chocbite, it's simply irresistible!

You have not tasted chocolate until you have tasted chocbite chocolate. The concept itself is a neat idea. The customer designs their own chocolate. There are 4 different chocolates to choose from.....bitter-sweet dark, semi-sweet dark, milk and white and they are pure couverture gourmet chocolate . Then comes the topppings. The selection is insane. And I mean that. There are a multitude of sweet, spicy, fruity and just plain fun toppings! The possibilities are endless. You do not need to import chocolate from Europe, just order some from chocbite in Austin, Texas! Hand crafted in a commercial kitchen, you will taste the difference from the mass made chocolates on the market.

I had a chance to design my own chocbite, and I had a lot of fun. My final choice? Milk chocolate with cherry candy flakes, key lime candy flakes and sprinkles. Oddly enough I thought my choice of including key lime would keep the heathens, I mean my family, from eating my bar. I was wrong!

My husband was the first to dip in, his bite soon became a chunk, then my daughter, the candy connoisseur, took her tasting and then me. I let my other boys try it as well. My husband loved it, and he is not a big chocolate guy (he is more into ice cream) but he liked it so much that he asked if I would be getting more. My daughter, our little chocolate freak begged for more. I said no! Yes, I was being selfish and the last few chocbites were mine. She is now insisting that she should be able to make her own chocbite bar! My thoughts? It was mouth watering and melted in my mouth. The flavors mixed so smoothly and, all in all, they were just the right amount of toppings.

  1. I am kinda particular about what I like so I would probably first try milk choc w/ caramel bits. Kinda boring I know but i just LOVE caramel! The rest of my family would probably go crazy though (especially hubby) as he loves creating his own creations. I could definitely see him doing the key lime candy flakes or the pomegranite jelly belly & he'd probably get crazy with sprinkles & such. Not sure if he'd go for the milk choc or the white! Oldest daughter would probably go with creme de menthe chips. daughter #2 would probably go w/ marshmellow! All in all, it looks like a bit of fun (although might be overload for me already just thinking about all that candy!) Thanks for sharing! Geo gmimler@sbcglobal.net
