Earthquake in Chicago? Yup
Although I told my son it was a truck driving by (so he would go back to sleep) we actually had an earthquake here in Schaumburg! The magnitude was 3.4, not the biggest but not too tiny either! The quake struck at 3:59 a.m. about five miles from Sycamore in DeKalb County. Minor damage reported so far.

Okay, we JUST moved here from California (and traveling a bit in Germany for awhile still) and I thought I would NEVER feel an earthquake in Illinois! I thought I left those behind in CA and traded them for crazy weather!? Crazy!

ReplyDeleteIt woke us up too! I thought it was a plow truck dropping his shovel. I heard it was 4.5 There was a loud boom & then our house shook & I had a couple things fall from the shelf in my office. Now that's weird. I'm in Batavia. Now following you.
